Did Your Spirituality Take a Back Seat? Here’s How to Get Back on Track

Once upon a time, I was knee-deep into my spirituality. Taking hot yoga classes 5+ days a week and meditating daily. I went from a life of (inhale) mindful breathing (exhale) to a complete disconnect from my spiritual side. I got into a relationship that distracted me, veering off my path of spiritual and self-awareness. I went from feeling super confident about my direction to feeling confused and little bit lost in both my personal and professional life. Every choice I made felt off, like a piece of the puzzle was missing. (Sigh) Yup. I lost my spiritual connection. So, I did something about it.

After many lessons learned, I found that a deeper sense of self-awareness makes me a happier, more vibrant and positive person. And while life might be busy now with a full-time job, kids, and household to take care of, I can still find balance. And you can too! If you feel like you lost your spiritual touch, here are a few easy ways to reconnect to your inner-self:

Keep it simple.

Meditate for 60 minutes a day…just kidding! Don’t get wrapped up in the unattainable. Do what makes you feel good and keep it easy. I like to journal at night. In bed, before lights out, I write a list of my goals and pray over them, asking my guides to support and bring me creative…
